Marsha Mason launches Resting In The River product line
Four-time Oscar nominated actress, entrepreneur and member of the New Mexico Organic Commodity Commission, Marsha Mason, is pleased to announce the launch of her Resting in the River line of herbal, medicinal and bath & body products within the New York metro marketplace. The introduction of these products, which will be exclusively available for sale at the Olive Leaf Wholeness Center located at 145 East 23rd Street, will be celebrated tonight at an invitation only event for celebrities, special guests and media.
Ms. Mason’s products, all of which are made from or inspired by the certified organic herbs grown at her farm in Abiquiu, New Mexico, include herbal medicinal tinctures and salves, bath & body soaps, and aromatherapy and massage oils, among others.
“We are very excited to be establishing New York City as our first point of sale location outside of New Mexico” said Ms. Mason, founder of Resting in the River, LLC. “We truly believe in the work that is being done at the farm, and being able to bring the products created out of the farm’s harvest to a larger market where they can be experienced and enjoyed is very gratifying and the next step in fulfilling our long-range business plan.”
Resting in the River is an organically certified, biodynamic farm committed to agriculture that promotes biodiversity and employs practices that restore, maintain and enhance ecological harmony. Nestled in the picturesque Chama River Valley in Northern New Mexico, the farm uses no synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides or other chemicals and employs crop rotation and permaculture principles that keep the soil healthy.
For sale at the Olive Leaf boutique under the exclusive Resting in the River brand name will be Marsha’s herbal tinctures – Marsha’s Boost Juice (2 oz.), Marsha’s Chill Factor (2 oz.), and Marsha’s Superior Support (2 oz.) – and Marsha’s Killer Salve (2 oz. and 1/3 oz.), as well as Marsha’s Magical Soaps, Calendula Concoctions and Aromatherapy Essential Oils.
“The launch of these products is just the beginning,” added Mason. “We are already at work expanding the line of herbal medicinals and expect to announce several new additions to the line in early 2004.”
Resting in the River Medicinals
Marsha’s herbal medicinals have been formulated using certified organic ingredients that are time-tested and scientifically validated by Vitality Works, Inc., a facility registered by the Food and Drug Administration that adheres to the strictest industry standards and procedures.
Marsha’s Boost Juice is primarily recommended for congestion, colds, asthma, bronchitis, recurring lung congestion and acute respiratory needs, while Marsha’s Superior Support is a preventative tincture formulated to strengthen any weakened immune system. Superior Support is especially recommended to maintain strong immunity during the cold and flu season or for those who are already experiencing associated symptoms. Marsha’s Chill Factor has been formulated with herbal ingredients with properties that reduce anxiety, nervous irritability, compulsive thinking and panic attacks without interfering with cognitive function or causing drowsiness, allowing the user to remain alert and clear-headed.
Marsha’s Killer Salve is recommended to soothe muscle, joint or nerve pain, and to promote the healing of bruises, rashes, eczema, dry or itchy skin, broken or compromised cuticles, chapped lips and burns.
Resting in the River Bath & Body Products
Marsha’s Magical Soaps, which are hand-made and come in two moisturizing formulations perfect for face and body, are available in stress-reducing aromatherapy-formulated Lemongrass or Unscented with Oatmeal, perfect for exfoliating sensitive skin. Marsha’s Calendula Concoctions, moisturizing oils made from certified organic calendula flowers grown at the farm, promote skin health. Available in an Energizing blend of eucalyptus and lemon or a Revitalizing blend of rose bulgarian, rose geranium, sandalwood, ylang ylang and grapefruit, these scented body oils are perfect for bath or body, and are especially recommended for massage or as a skin moisturizer.
Marsha’s Essential Oils may be used on potpourri, in the bath or combined with a moisturizing oil that can be gently applied to the skin. The Essential Oils are available in four varieties: Autumn in Abiquiu (orange, cinnamon, spruce, patchouli and clove essences), Evergreen (fir, pine and spruce needles essence), Sunshine (a citrus blend that includes orange, mandarin and pine needle essence) and Lavender.
