Beauty Africa - set to become the Most Comprehensive Exhibition for the Beauty Industry of Africa in 2003
The 5th Beauty Africa Exhibition is set to become the most comprehensive exhibition for the cosmetic, hair, health, nail, and beauty industry of Africa with the launch of two parallel expos with one single objective – to grow the beauty industry of Africa.
In 2003, Beauty Africa launches the Beauty Africa Trade Expo and the Beauty Africa Consumer Expo - two major industry exhibitions which will run parallel at the Sandton Convention Centre from 12 – 14 July 2003.
“The dynamics of the beauty industry of Africa are complex and competent. Foreign and local companies and markets are in various stages of growth and development. Many companies are actively finding new import and export markets in Africa and beyond. Others are aggressively marketing their products and services to grow their markets on a national basis” says Pam Dillon– Group Project Manager at South Africa RAI, the organisers of Beauty Africa 2003. With all of these industry dynamics and needs, it has become essential to host a fully comprehensive event in Africa to capture the attention of not only the key distributors, traders and buyers, but also the consumer markets, who ultimately purchase health and beauty products.
In order to provide all exhibitors with maximum benefits for participating in Beauty Africa, the exhibition has become more focused and innovative than ever before.
The Beauty Africa Trade Exhibition remains Africa’s premier trading platform for the industry to meet buyers, retailers, distributors, importers, exporters, industry
professionals and potential trading partners from South Africa, Africa and indeed the world.
This trade event provides an interactive and exclusive forum for exhibitors targeting the trade only to display, demonstrate and explain their products in a face-to-face marketing environment, alongside leading industry players from around the world.
The visitor promotion campaign for the Beauty Africa Trade Expo aims to attract trade visitors from South Africa and Africa and will target distributors; wholesalers; retailers; manufacturers; re-exporters and traders; department store buyers; pharmacy buyers; health store owners; hairdressers and salon owners; beauty therapists and salon owners; nail technicians as well as industry associations and training & technical colleges.
The Beauty Africa Consumer Expo will take place in Hall 2 at the Sandton Convention Centre, alongside the Trade Expo. The Beauty Africa Consumer Expo will target consumers directly, with interactive exhibits, on-site beauty and health treatments and services, product promotion and sampling. In such a competitive consumer environment, the major benefit of exhibiting at this Expo is to engage with the public directly. The Beauty Africa Consumer Expo provides a platform for companies to initiate direct brand promotion and marketing to consumers, to offer products and services directly to the public and to implement face-to-face market research, develop databases and to receive immediate feedback from the public regarding their products and services.
Exhibitors should carefully select participation in the expo which meets their marketing needs. The exhibitor profile of Beauty Africa includes manufacturers of cosmetics; skin and body care products and services; toiletries; perfumes and fragrances; hair care products, services and accessories; hand and nail products; natural products; vitamin and mineral supplements; anti-aging products and services; hair salon equipment; IT Solutions to the hair and beauty industry; packaging; raw materials and contract manufacturers.
The Beauty Africa Trade Expo and Consumer Expo will unite all sectors of the industry by hosting interactive demonstrations, competitions and events from hairstyling, makeovers, facials, nail demonstrations and product sampling, all carefully combined to captivate both trade and consumer visitors.
The Beauty Africa Exhibition is established as the leading exhibition in Africa, and is recognised as a leading international industry event in all spheres of the beauty industry. It continues to enjoy the support of the leading trade bodies in South Africa including the Cosmetics, Toiletries and Fragrances Association , The South African Association of Health and Skin Care Professionals and the Employers Organisation for Hairdressing, Cosmetology & Beauty.
The exhibition also brings the world of beauty to South Africa, attracting exhibitors and trade visitors from Australia, Bahrain, Botswana, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cameroon, China, UK, USA; France, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Kenya, Malawi, Malaysia, Namibia, Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, Portugal, Spain, Swaziland, Taiwan, Thailand, Tanzania, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, Zimbabwe.
The Beauty Africa Trade Expo and the Beauty Africa Consumer Expo are supported by independent advertising, public relations and direct marketing campaigns which will run simultaneously in the lead up to the event. The exhibition is organised by South Africa RAI, one of Southern Africa’s most forward thinking and successful exhibition and event organisers.
